OUR STORY
The Beginning:-
In 1981, Our Chairman- Mr. Ved Parkash Gupta, Chartered Accountant in a Government Office backthen gets an invite from a childhood friend Mr. Hariram Garg to start their own textile business. Mr. Ved Parkash Gupta quits his secure job, took the plunge and formed V.S. Handlooms. In 1996, Our Founder Mr. Rajiv Gupta joined V.S. Handloom with his father and setup a new unit with stitching machines, weaving looms and Dyeing unit. In 2010, after quitting V.S. Handloom a new company formed The Sunway Overseas.
The Growth:-
In 80’s The Sunway Overseas started with a few pit looms to make woven rugs. In 90’s the company grew fast adding stitching machines, weaving looms and dying unit to be able to make made ups completely vertically integrated. In early 21st Century Tufting Machines, Embroidery Machines and Power looms have been added to make Bathmats, Carpets, Value Added Textiles and Tufted Bedcovers.
New Generation:-
In 2016, Mr. Aniket Gupta joined the company after completing Education. Under his leadership our company changed to a professionally managed company with people based on merit taking senior positions and experienced staff being promoted to higher job roles. We also changed to a product centric, fashion oriented company with our product development team boosted from 2 to 8 people.
